Can you access it by trail? It says their off-season hours are 10-5 on thurs-fri and 10-3 on sat. does that mean they're open more often in the winter or not? And does it cost anything to get in? Thanks. I'm real close to there and thought it'd be cool to check it out.

It's free...at least it was when we took the kids there a few years back.

It's was a cool thing to go see. Fun for the kids to realize how far sleds have come!
There was a donation jar! :)

It is pretty interesting place they did expand it a few years ago since last time was there, one of the founders Loren Anderson raced back in the 70's and built a track to practice on at his farm outside of lake geneva,wi that replicated the eagle river derby track spec's.
i would recommend going lots of old & some newer race sleds and early trail sleds on display. No admission fee but do like donations. i think there closed sundays
heres a link to it

It is a good place to go and right up the road in Sayner is another museum with snowmobiles of an earlier vintage than in Saint Germain. Both are well worth the stop.
