6'-7' base all around med bow peak with a lot of tree's and climbing with fresh on it. west side seemed to have less traffic along base of mt. we went through gap and hugged high left as possible and found a lot of fresh, be careful of super steep sliding as you will see some that already happen. Had great time at Albany lodge.

mas.cr,

GREAT to hear!! We are leaving from N. Illinois on Saturday and will be getting into West Side (Ten Mile) on Sunday.

Ezra, maybe we will see you out there, only a mile from you in Ryan Park. We will be a group of 8 - 4 Summits, 1 M8000, 1 Pro, 1 RMK, and a little Backcountry. Have a safe trip out.

That should be an easy sled to pick out of a crowd. Let's hope for dry safe roads on the way out.

Here's a pic of my new Pro. Poor girl hasn't even seen a snowflake yet. Can't wait! SAM_1866.jpg

SAM_1957.jpg SAM_1963.jpg Ezra, never saw your group but it's a big mountain and you are rarely on trails out there. I'm guessing you guys found some incredible snow. We had the best trip ever. Thursday's snowstorm was some special. Finally got my Pro stuck on Thursday finding a very deep creek.

They are suppose to get some significant snow today and tonight. http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClic...MapType=3&site=GJT&CiTemplate=0&Submit=Submit

We are heading out to the Snowies on Sunday March 16th for the week. This will be my 5th time out there since 2011 and every trip the weather has been up in the air. But it seems like every year we get snow while we are there and it makes the trip awesome. This year, we went out on January 26th and everyone on Snowest was saying they had snow but it was all setup. Well, we must have been the good luck charms because it snowed almost every day we were there and it was incredible. With us driving from so far away and with work / vacations, you just have to go for it because it's too hard to change your plans. With the cold winter this year, they have a ton of snow. The main question is can you find powder. But unless it's 60 degrees and raining, we'll find good snow out there.

If you want live updates on conditions in the snowies, go to this link on snowest and you'll get very good reports. One of the guys out there (Dan) provides really good reports 2 or 3 times a week. http://www.snowest.com/forum/showthread.php?t=352634&page=15

Just returned from Albany last week, first part of the week was warm, almost 70 on
Monday, good storm came through on Tuesday evening and made great riding with a foot or more in places of fresh powder. Be very cautious as I have made several trips out there in the past and have never seen so many large cornices that look ready to let loose.

SAM_2000 c.jpg SAM_2007 c.jpg SAM_2015 c.jpg SAM_2017 c.jpg SAM_2021 c.jpg 600xc, I'm not sure if we ran across you or not. Met a few groups around the Queally hut during the week. We were there from Sunday March 16th through Friday March 21st. There were 4 of us, 2 orange Summits, one blue summit, and one black Pro. I've been out to the snowies 5 times now and this last trip was the best. Snow was pretty good Sunday and Monday. And then the storm rolled in on Monday night and snow was incredible on Tuesday and good on Wednesday. Thursday, we were so tired it didn't matter but the snow was settling quite a bit and very tacky with the warmer temps.

Here's a few pics from Tuesday

we were there the week prior (10th -14th) had good snow Wed and Thur but not quite to the depth you had from the looks of your pics. Last year we were out there in mid Feb and had conditions like that, powder so deep all you could see were windshields when riding, just awsome.
