Wife picked up a Yamaha Klim jacket and bibs for under 400, I got a SR Viper jacket and bibs for under 400, two spare Viper belts for 75 each, two sets of carbides for 90, and a sweater/jacket for wifey for 90. So we dropped over a grand tonight doing our part moving the economy along, lol. Nobody said this is a cheap sport!!!!!

Ended up going with my wife and that put a damper on my purchases. Only got some cleaner and polish, a Klim t-shirt and a two year subscription to Am Snowmobiler. When I was talking with the camoplast guys about a track, and a lift guy I got the "you don't need that, lets go" look and nudge. Couldn't even get her to sit on a new sled to get a photo.... oh well, I got the contact info for the track and lift guys so maybe those will come to the shop some day down the road.

This was the first time for me on a Friday also....and a first time coming home with nothing. Tried to talk to a dealer at the Polaris booth and they sure don't know much about their sleds.

The aisles seems all screwed up too.

Yeah my experince getting quailty new sled help at snow shows was difficult. I'm not sure dealers might not be able to sell at shows thru factory booth so lean on good help. A factory guy can be interesting to talk to but not sales people don't know how to reel you in or probe for your hot spots.

Got a new pair of bibs since they were 50% off, did a lot of searching for other things and found out I could get better prices else where.

Any good deals to be had at the show? I'm thinking about going tomorrow (Sunday) since I have to be in Milwaukee Monday afternoon anyway.

Well heading back tomarrow from Hayward is it worth making the detour?? I stoped at Hayward power. Sports and got new gas lines and a few other things and I'm wondering if the show woulde be a good place to may be find some carbs for it???and possibly handle bar riser??? It's for a 96 formula I picked up last week I know it's late in the Nght but any info would be help full.. it would also be the first time ever giing.

I'd definately go if you've never been to one even if you don't find what you want. Sunday isn't the best day to go to the outside swap but there will still be some swappers there if the past is an indicater....might even be more than in the past due to crappy weather on Saturday AM....On Friday the one guy that is there every year had a huge setup and he usually is there all 3 days.

BTW it isn't much of a detour off of I-94....only a mile or so on 84th street. That is the best entrance to park near the swap meet which is outside of the north entrance of the building.

First time in probably 15 years i did not go. Really didnt need anything. I picked up a new klim Tomahawk jacket on line back in August for 179 bucks, and a new klim powercross pullover for 209 in july. Even at Haydays the prices werent as good as the on line prices.

Well the lights were on, so I would think they saw us coming. The wife's suit was actually under 300, my mistake. Both jacket and bibs were marked 400 each and she got them for 139 each, not a bad deal and if she's happy, I'm happy. I saved about 200 on my suit so I'm happy, belts about 50 saved, carbides another 50 saved. Wife's sweater, not so much saved, but again she's happy. So if they saw us coming, yeah the lights were on!!

I know, I debated but when she says "I'll go since you're going alone" what do you do? No good reason came to my mind why I'd go alone and she'd sit home alone. Oh well she came home and said "been there done that, don't need to go again". Good thing I didn't really need anything, next time when I do need stuff I'll be set.

Got a balaclava and 509 hat, all I really needed. My bro got Klim boots, CastleX jacket, FXR bibs, helmet, goggles, balaclavas.......keeping the economy humming. He's new to the sport so I think he's officially a sledder now that he dropped $600 on new gear.

Show got me pumped for the riding season for sure, bring on the snow!
