Good luck with the new biz! I don't want to see you at the Adventure next year on a 92 Indy, unless it's a vintage ride. ;)

You will love the Axys and the new 800 is doing well. Go with a switchback IMO. Good luck!

Absolutely..just sold the switch..thought all the axis were 137..either that or the assault..or maybe both depending..or maybe a ski-doo:)

The 16 axys Assault is 155 track (not sure if other track length options). Have only heard good about the 800 HO. so far. a guy at work has 15 Poo with the 800 HO he put on about 1500 miles with no issues. young guy rides it hard.
(or maybe a ski-doo) You may need to change your handle to SkiDan if you Doo.

Yes, the 800 is holding up very well and the reports on the AXYS chassis have been impressive. Let me know if I can help you in the fall.

If you have a chance to ride the doo and poo, you should do it! Preferebly back to back. then you will be able to choose the one YOU like.

Somethings i noticed when I had a chance to ride the Pro-S switchback 800 back to back with a gade 800 etec. The pro-S Steering was light and the sled handled very well, on par or better than the XS. Suspension seemed plush, didnt hit enough rough stuff to see if it handles the bumps as well as the Rmotion. I didnt like the seat in comparison to doo(It felt like doo's XRS seat). The SDI loaded up at idle, things you forget about after owning etecs. it vibrated noticably more than the etec. The etec felt more powerful and side by side runs confirmed this. Granite the etec was clutched and the pro-S was box stock, but the races were bus lengths, not sled lengths. I have been reading some poo 800HO's are expierincing power fade and a friend said his dealer mentioned this to him, so poo knows about it. Something thats expected with a 1st year sled. The same power fade that plagued the 2012 800Etecs. Appears some 800HO's run like a bandit and some dont. I must of been on the slow one. Have also read a few crankshafts breaking in half and if you do a search there are pictures floating around. I would guess those are few and far between tho. All in all the axys seems to be holding up. Like most first year sleds, the problems wont arrize until the majority of the sleds start getting miles on them. This is pure speculation but i would guess 95% or more of the 800's have less than 2k miles. Im a doo guy so take this for what its worth.

there is a good review which is mostly positive from yellowknife on the PRO-X switchback

One reason identical sleds will vary in power is the crankshaft. They are supposed to be put together all the same but they are not. If it is out of spec just a tiny bit it will never put out the power a perfect crankshaft will. Also some motors are famous for throwing their cranks out of index when or if they blow a belt at high speeds. Once it is out of index it will never 'heal' itself. I would be careful of the new Pol sleds with their ultralight cranks until they get some miles on them to see how they hold up.

I agree. Low crank runout and proper clutch alignment really help not only things like belt life, but also power output.
