The Lions are getting better by the week and it wont be long before the Packers and Bears will be looking up in the standings at the Lions.

I wouldn't gloat. I am an avid Lions fan and I am here to tell ya......don't put them too high on a pedistal because they always seem to fall off. But yes....todays win was a big one for us loyal Lions fans.
I don't really see a point in a thread like this. If you like the Lions you could have eluded to a great job or congrats. No need to bash the Pack or any team.
I will keep an eye on it and if it gets confrontational it may go bye bye.

Man I remember after the Vikings second loss to Green Bay there were a couple of different threads just ripping the Vikes and rubbing salt in the wound. I never saw anyone come to the defense of us Vikings fans then. Those same critics sure are quiet now!!

Pro, The part of the post I was noting was "get use to it". I thought that was going to start something. I am a vikings fan as I like Favre (although that may start something). I looked at it again and maybe it was just a boast, which is ok. I was trying put the brakes on a post that may have started to bash the Lions and then the back and forths which can get ugly.

Maybe your numbers increase, but it seems as though anytime someone says something that may be funny, the thread gets pulled by someone wanting to flex their muscles a bit.
Of those increased users you speak of, how many actually comment on threads?
It is always the same slect group that comment, and always the same select group that seems to defend the mods and put them up pedestal to be worshipped.......

Im glad the mods take care of things like this. We don't want this site to turn into one of those bashing, im better then everybody else sites. Thanks Mods keep up the good work!
I think the problem is that what you may think is a fun little comment may not be to others and anytime you do it in a forum like this, email, texting etc. it is sometimes hard to tell if someone is joking or not. I am sure the mods are not sitting around thinking which thread should I flex my muscle on. They are just trying to keep everything civil. I can say that I tend to defend the mods because I think they do a lot for this site. I will also say I do not worship them or put them on a pedistal (sorry Mods) but I do appreciate the hard work they put in to try and keep it a family friendly site.
