Looking to get out ice fishing at the end of this week and with the trails closed I can still get my sled to lake with a mile or two of ditches if ice is safe enough for a sled.. Will either be going to lauderdale or pleasant (both in between Elkhorn and whitewater in walworth county.. Can anyone report ice thickness on these lakes and any spots I should be avoiding unless I want to test some thin ice and go for a swim with my sled?? Any advice is appreciated and think snow!!!

Used to live on Lauderdale & rule of thumb is never ever go on Green lake by peeble beach & stay out of Springs as never sets up. You can always see spring bubbles frozen in reeds on Middle lake by the Landing. Never ride into any of the inlets as always thin in the coldest years. If you don't see lots of sled traffic then ice not ready. With little land snow that lake should be a sled expressway.
