Southern WI sledding season

It's looking a little bleak, but hopefully John and the weather guessers are right about next week's storm. Our trails were open in our "region" of Dane county for 4 days, but closed this morning at 6am. I managed to get two nights of grooming in so last night the trails should have been pretty darn good. It's already in the lower 30's and partly sunny so I think what we have will be gone by tomorrow night. So, come on snow gods, do your thing this coming week....

Seems that it keeps creeping south in the forecasts. We'll see what John says on monday. Still a long way out.

Just the opposite according to the nws out of Milwaukee.

yup,
all 3 major news outlets here in se wis. say it's moving more north meaning were under more warm weather which means less snow more rain, and slop.
basically less than 30 days of possible trail riding here. seriously don't think they'll even open this year. as i type this its been raining now for about 6 sraight hours.
can't believe how much rain we've had and how many days its actually rained since the start of Dec.

One thing for sure is a storm can change its track a little at the last minute. However, I don't recall a forecast for a big snow that has remained so steady for so long....
