speedo issues 2006 Renegade 600sdi

Hi guys

need some help here from all the Doo Dr's on this site. i have 2 Renegades. a 05 with 5000 miles and a 06 with 2200 miles. The 06 speedo reads faster than the 05. Its is waaay off. almost like the dial is reading in kilometers. the odo seems to be reading correct.

Any ideas?

The speedo may need to be calibrated. At some point, the rubber reset button may have been stuck in (likely frozen) when the sled was started. It's not hard to recalibrate, but unfortunately I don't remember the procedure. Somebody on here may and if not, I'm pretty sure there are threads on it over on DooTalk.

Found this in the manual for my 2005 Rev

21) Speedometer
All Models except Summit ADRENALINE/X
These models are equipped with an electronic speedometer. It may
show speed in km/h or MPH.
NOTE: At vehicle speed of 90 km/h (55 MPH) and more the mode
LCD screen will show speed only instead of the selected mode.
Change from One Unit to the Other
NOTE: Speedometer, odometer and trip meter will have their units
(kilometer or miles) changed all together.
Stop engine and open engine compartment. Cut locking ties. Plug
connectors together to change units from miles to kilometers.
Unplug to return to miles reading. Fasten connector to harness with
locking ties.

Maybe it was never set up for MPH?
