I wonder if he has any stress in his occupation? Glad to hear he survived it. Perhaps time for a career change?-Mezz

Those guys are nuts with hours worked, stress,drinking, smoking, non stop red bull & coffee no wonder their bodies give out! If Sig is smart & I think he is he won't follow in Phil's shoes & will make some adjustments to his life at sea.

I heard about this several days ago. Anxious for the show to start now that my favorite show Gold Rush is over. Get well Sig and give up the smokes!!

Cigs, Red Bull, coffee and Lord knows what else over the years sure didn't help. Wasn't the first and sure as **** won't be the last to go through this.

said it many times I spent most of my summers on a boat in AK and they all stayed awake the same way. sniffing and popping pills and that stuff takes a toll even if he stopped 20 yrs ago the heart was pumping extra fast for yrs
