St Germain sled renters beware

HI...I personally have never rented a sled be4....I am reading and learning../..
carry on with discussion. ...OK so far,....40 years experience, thought his mistakes would be covered, everyone knew of ICY conditions, JD site might have a lawyer to coddle us, yea we crashed it But, But, But....I didn't mean to come across with any non comfortable responses, but, we thought and why, ummmm, wait!,.... we didn't do anything wrong that someone else shouldn't cover....

I totally understand a renters frustration and my friend has every intention of making it right. But making it right does not include getting raked over the coals, being over charged to repair two bent A arms (which he said he had in stock) and a plastic pin that holds on the side panel (which he also said he had in stock.) and The decal on the other side which was already scraped and an imaginary coolant leak (we looked that sled all over before he rode it to town to make sure it would not damage itself more. It was an hour and a half trip limping it to town. If it had a leak, it would have overheated.)A renter has to assume some wear and tear along with the occasional accident. If you don't want to deal with that, don't rent sleds. It just seems shady to not even offer insurance, charge a lot more than everyone in town, then overcharge on repairs. The point of the original post is to make sure that the renter offers insurance, if not, run away.

Not all rental places offer insurance. In many cases it's 1,000-1500 dectublibe which as mentioned wouldn't help you.

So how much do you think the repair should have cost?

U greed to said price even though he was "most expensive" in town, didn't bother to inquire about insurance, didn't "run". Wrecked the sled and the dealer is supposed to just pull everything from stock to fix sled? Seriously what r u crying about?

sorry cat..while we understand the warning..the mistakes 100% on u guys..not only was the rental price less than most..u never asked about insurance..do u rent cars without checking your insurance ? whats the difference..these are 10k plus machines..

X 2 Really come on. He should charge an xtra $1000 because he cant rent it for a week or two.
