"Still good people out there"

So I posted in "wanted to buy" a thread for a Polaris Edge Windshield Bag. The post sat there for approximately 3 weeks and in that time I looked at other sites trying to find a Polaris one or even an aftermarket one. No luck! Out of the blue, I get a phone call, as I had listed my phone #, from someone who did not know me from "Adam", offering a Polaris bag. The catch is he offers just to give it to me and ship it on his dime. Well, "long story short" I received the bag today in pristine condition. There was no catch, he sent me this bag absolutely free just so it would get used. You don't find too many people willing to do that! I am truly appreciative of this act! Just thought I'd share as usually I don't have "something for nothing" happen to me!
Thanks grab and go "you're a good man Charlie Brown!" lol

I've been hearing several of these "pay it forward" type stories lately. Maybe there is hope for humanity!

Strange free stuff story... I gave away a set of stock doo 98 skis off F3 700 as I had replaced them with aftermarket skis. In my mind they were not very good skis told the guy that but he was welcome to them just had to pick them up. He drove from somewhere in northern MN arrives & then proceeds to say the skis are not plastic enough. I said told you stock skis off 98 F3 700 not all plastic skis kind of a hybrid with metal insert ...what are you going to do with them? He says I will sell them with with other stuff at snowmobile swaps that is what I do. With that I laughed said well price is right yours for the taking... take or leave them doesn't matter to me. He took them & left kinda had an attitude about free skis he could sell...strange dude.

You know, on another forum I'm on they have a pay it forward sticky in the classifieds. People post stuff that they don't want anymore for free or trade. It's not expensive items like a motor but you get stuff like a storage bag, or maybe some stock springs that somebody has for a 8 yr old toy that a young guy starting out without a ton of $$ could use. Or maybe some monster stickers. Lol.

But anyway I just thought I'd throw that out here see if the mods are interested.

Yeah I give snomo stuff away all the time .... gave the neighbor bunch of new doo yellow boggie wheels & 800 belts...no use to me anymore so supect lots of peeps feel that way too.

Nope gave him directions to the house.. I live somewhat off the grid down private road with steep hills & trees on lake...not many want to drive our road keeps the riff raf away lol

I was just going to say "pay it forward" with something. I had a random dude buy my coffee the other day at the gas station. No questions asked all he said is I am buying that coffee for the guy that is getting coffee right now at the coffee station while he was checking out. Didn't know him or nothing...just bought me a coffee for no reason. I was half asleep walking up to the register and the lady says that guy just bought your coffee sir as he was trying to sneak out the door before I had the chance to say something. I ran to catch up to him outside and said thanks for the coffee. He said "you weren't suppose to catch me and say thank you". Then all he said was "pay it forward" and walked away....I didn't know what to say to be honest. It's something small and stupid...the coffee only cost about $1 but it was still the thought that counts. Not something you see every day. So the next day I walked back into the gas station to get my coffee like I do almost every day some old guy was getting his coffee next to me. He was shopping around for something else so when I checked out I said to the clerk hey when that guy checks out pay for his coffee for me. Here is 2 extra dollars just apply it to whatever else he is buying. When he asks why just tell him to "pay it forward" and I left.

Just thought I would share the story since it has happened to me before and I was shocked. Something small and stupid like that can make somebodies day. You never know just who might need their day made.
