Storm! Where should we rent snowmobiles, and stay?

I am hosting a snowmobiling trip for family from out of the country.

6 adults, 2 kids.

12/26-12/28

Would like to rent a nice lodge, and have sleds delivered.

We are coming from Farmington Hills, MI.

Munising is as far west as we want to go, and would prefer a shorter drive, perhaps even Kalkaska if they get enough snow.

So. What do you recommend!

Thanks in advance to all who help out.

God bless!

I know Munising best but you can see about Newberry they have some good motels and sled rentals visit newberry web site. In Munising there is a Super 8 with a Dealer next door. The motel is well kept, privately owned. They also have some sleds for rental or use to. The Motel is actually in Wetmore a suburb of Munising check their web site also

We stayed at this place last year. It was nice. We have our own sleds but they did have sled rentals right there at the hotel. Indoor pool and hot breakfast (like with eggs and bacon and stuff) every morning.

Stayed at the Americinn a couple weeks ago. I don't know if they have sled rentals... but they had a very cool kiddie waterpark /pool.

Good luck on finding somewhere!

Yep nice. Technically Wetmore is a LOT bigger than Munising. Our place is almost 20 miles south of Munising and is still considered Wetmore.

To the original poster; I would think about going to the Soo. They got around 16 inches of snow with this last storm. You can stay at the Kewadin hotel and casino. I stayed there once and it's very nice. Of course there are all the smokers that you have to deal with if you don't smoke. Unless they changed that.
