Studs any recommendations

I have in the past used woodys and Stud Boy they all seem to bend and the tips tend to come off and than they wear really fast. But it most likely had to do with the conditions I had ridden in. I took a look at Roetin today and saw they have a replacement guaranty.

I would really like some recommendations on what has work and what has not

Thanks

I have used Woody's for quite a while. Had bad luck with Roetin years ago but they very well could be better now. I ride with a guy that loves to spin across asphalt. His studs are all bent after about 100 miles. As far as the carbide falling out my present set of Woody's has 3400 miles on them and they all look good. I use 144 in my 121 incher. If you don't run enough studs it can also be hard on them. Are you riding in snow??????

My goal is to stay on the snow, but in southern WI sometimes you ride plowed road sides and farm fields that are a little low on snow so you can end up with the stud going into dirt. I know its not ideal but it helps me get a few more miles on the sled and less on the truck.

I have Stud Boy on one of my sleds and Woody's on the other. Rode 2,500 miles on the Stud Boy's and 1,500 on the Woody's and have not had any problems with either. I would recommend either.

Haha Indy good one! We run all woodys here, haven't had any bad luck yet no bends tear throughs or even loose carbides. But I think we run 168 in ours. Somewhere in the 160s anyway. And oh ya, and this track has over 7000 miles on it. 6000 have been with same studs. Not studed before that if I remember correctly.

Stainless Woody's here. 144 in a 121 since new. Just under 13000 miles and no major issues. Some worn, a couple bent, and a few missing tips, but with this kind of mileage on an '07 its expected...

Make sure you use the tall nuts, my dealer studded mine and used the short nuts and I bent several, After changing all of the nuts (and bent studs) the problem was solved.
