Hi. My fiance and I are honeymooning August 20-23 at the Dapple Grey B&B in Copper Harbor. We're driving from Duluth and will be taking our lazy old time getting to the B&B. Do you have any suggestions on sights to see/things to do in the UP between Ironwood/Hurley and Copper Harbor? We are outdoorsy folks and like hiking and similar activities. We are planning on visiting the Quincy Mine in Hancock (I've driven by it several times but have never stopped). We are also in to historical locations. Also, are there opportunities for a lake cruise while up in Eagle Harbor?

We are open to any and all suggestions! Thanks!

We rent a pontoon at M&M in Hancock, it's docked right by the ramada and ready to go. You can rent Kayak's and Mtn. bikes in the Harbor but I dont know of any boats up north.

Can't go wrong with the ever popular Bond Falls and Agate Falls. The Laurium Manor is also ok. It's not the fanciest place, but the history is kinda cool. There is also a falls between Bruce Crossing and Mass City that is a little hike off the road, but I can't remember its name, Mrs.Running Bear would know. Aside from that, what more do you need other than a room on your honeymoon. Have a good one, and good luck!

water falls

There are many waterfalls to see. Bond falls has a great trail and boardwalk around it. Most tourist stops have info on the waterfalls of the UP. Maps and directions included. Sturgan river State park near Alston has hikeing trails and the lookout over the gourge is bueatiful. Lake of the Clouds park at Silver City is verry cool. My wife and I went to the UP for our 26 wedding anniversary, the UP stands second to Alaska
