Summer motorcycle trip ideas...

So I have 4 days this summer that I don't have any plans. Wife will be working so I'm thinking a Motorcycle ride might be in order. Always wanted to go see the Polaris factory in Roseau then just enjoy exploring Northern MN. So what are some of the things I need to see?

Man, I'm envious. Personally, I would cruise up to Ely. I have always enjoyed getting up there although sadly, it's been probably 8-10 years since I've been. If you go, check out the Vince Shute Bear Sanctuary.
Enjoy.

The Wisconsin river valley from the dells to the 'ol miss is very nice ride. Then take the miss north to MN. Just be very careful of deer.

I lived in Roseau and worked at the factory for 3.5 years and used to put a lot of miles on my motorcycle. The factory is definitely impressive and worth seeing, they have daily tours (about 1hr I believe) available and also a small museum and store.

As far as areas to ride your motorcycle, not much to see in Northwestern MN, lots of flat straight roads. I would spend most of my time either riding on the Ontario side north of I falls or in Northeastern MN in the iron range and up to Ely. Highway 1 from Ely to Finland is my all time favorite motorcycle road. Also worth taking a trip up past Grand Marais and seeing the "Devil's Kettle"

Minnesotas North Shore, Split Rock Lighthouse, Goosberry Falls. I believe there's other falls along the North Shore also.

Run the Minnesota North shore as noted above then jump into Canada and go around the big lake on 11-17 out of Thunder bay.... did this on a bike a couple years back, and is an awesome trip....

Not Northern Minnesota, but if you haven't done it, I'd consider heading South along the Mississippi towards Prairie Du Chien then heading back towards home through Wiscony via Virocqua/Westby and the Driftless area. We took this ride last year and it is one of the best rides close to home I've been on.

Won't have time or $$ to circle lake Superior. Really want to see what northern Minnesota has to offer. Just wanted to make sure I'm hitting any points of interest along the way.
