Summer sled storage

Im just wondering what you guys suggest is the best way to store my sled for the summer. With my old sled I just put it away and fired it up every couple of weeks then cleaned the carbs in the fall. With my new sled (2015 Polaris indy) what should i do? Fog the motor or just run stabil through it and call it good. Can you clean the injectors?

I think what worked for you in the past will work on new sleds just fine
and everyone has there own ways

for yrs I ran my sleds every few weeks a little, then ran carbs dry between runs
I have filled tanks to the top, and then only left a little in

I always TRY my best to fill last tank with ethanol free fuel with a stabilizer in it too
I think ethanol fuel is CRAP, all the more so if its going to sit at all!

I also like to lift the rear suspension, and tend to lift the front ski's up off the cement I store mine on!

I also stick exhaust plug into the exhaust outlets to keep mice out or ???
have a bunch from the MX days that work well for me, remove before starting back up though LOL

to get em up off the ground or concrete I set them on a long wooden pallet. I store inside a self storage place too, sleds in, jetskis out, and so on. rent a garage or storage unit IMO. anything but outside

On newer sleds that have an electronic fuel pump in the gas tank, it is better to fill the tank and use a good stabilizer/conditioner. I like Tektron or seafoam.

I've always had good results with the previously mentioned, fill tank with 91, run it once a month during the down time, no problems, ever x 39 yrs. Sock in the tail pipe, No Fog, No Stabil.-Mezz

I'd store inside or out of the weather if possible. I keep my sled up in the air on the sled lift. I like to grease it before storage, a good wash. I only use ethanol free gas as high of a octane as I can get. If I'm gonna store it I run a gallon on 100 octane race gas through the before I put it to sleep for the summer. I've been doing that for yrs, never had a problem. That's also the joy of has EFI, not dirty carbs to clean. Some people fog the cyclinders before summer storage. I used to but don't any more.

I use mine to de thatch my grass. Pull the skis up and get the track spinning good. When the wife is standing on the deck shaking her head and yelling what ever she yells, put it away and do the same thing a month later. I also treat the gas with Startron or Lucas.

The race fuel smells awesome! It's straight fuel doesn't have the additives and all the crap in it the pump fuel seems to have. It holds octane points for a long time.

I understand why you would want to avoid the oxy gas for summer storage but why race gas?
will not go bad or drop octane .
back whenI was more in to drag sleds I always stored with some race fuel cuz it was around but now I just dont care 91 non oxi and stable is it

Just took all gas out of my sleds then put a couple of gals of 93 Shell mixed with Lucas Oil gas stabilizer, and I try to start them every month or so. Put the battery on the tender every once in awhile. No problems usually doing it that way. Did get a mouse nest in motor once, but now I put the mouse blocks out, and don't see them anymore.

93 oc Shell in your area will have 10% ethanol blend. 91 oc is straight premium. Just to let you know.

plug the air intake too, I use mothballs around the motor and fabric- not sure if it helps but have not had a mouse problem- also I don't put a cover on - I think the mice prefer the cover of darkness! my sleds have some bird poop and heavy dust on them (in an old barn) in the fall but they clean right up. not saying any of this works the best, but I have had good luck with the sleds and motorcycle.
