Hard to believe it has been 2 weeks since our Trail Work week-end.
Our club would like to THANK all who came to work as well as all who donated.

We had 48 people who helped on the trails. Some gave 1 day of their time, others gave 2 or all 3 days of their time. We do appreciate that many use vacation days to help. Our projects were to rebuild a bridge, trail brushing, removing old signage and putting up new sign posts to prepare for new signage (new signs not yet received). Also, it was a challenge to tear old a beaver dam under the Little Misery bridge. It had to be torn out 3 different times during our work session. Those little buggers can do alot of re-building during the night. Thus, the old term "busy as a beaver."

Superior Snowmobile Club would also like to express sincere thanks to all who donated. Those who donated lunches for all the workers were KRUPPS MINI-MART, PARKVIEW LODGE and GRILL, MOSQUITO INN, and DAWN NOVAK.

BEER BELLY BOB in Greenland donated supper on Friday night and KRUPPS RESORT donated a cook-out, with bonfire on Saturday night. SCOTT HENNESSEY entertained everyone with his big screen movies which got everyone fired up for the upcoming snowmobile season.
Free Lodging was also donated by KRUPPS RESORT, WILDLIFE REFUGE CABINS and MOSQUITO INN. .

This was our 6th annual Trail Work Session and has become something many look forward to. It began with a smaller group which has increased in number every year, involving both guys and gals.

This was the 2nd year we have had to move tables and food into the pole barn due to the uninvited inclement weather. It was not the most pleasant weather for Trail Work but just like snow season-Mother Nature has the upper hand.

AGAIN, we thank everyone for everything and look forward to Trail Work week-end in Sept. 2013.

Trail clean up is always a good time. I highly recommend it especially if you have never seen the UP outside the winter months.

This a "thank you" to all involved from Richard and I personally. Its actually a re-run as I did this last Saturday and don't know what went wrong but when I submitted it-it was sent into cyberspace. Knowing that a re-run is never as good the 2nd time through I thought I'd let my brain clear out (now thats scarey) and hopefully, not forget half of what I had said.
First, I would like to thank everyone for their "get-well wishes." Very much appreciated....I truly didn't plan on skipping out on preparing for trail work week-end. Many angels came to Richard's rescue. On Thursday evening, it was Scottiking to the rescue by taking over phone calls, etc while Richard went to hospital. The only preparation that had been done was the grocery shopping for all that was needed. Shirley and Becky at Krupp's Mini-Mart had Richard take ingredients to them for the corn casserole. Chris Sabo and Lori Sleeman made desserts. Lori and "Willow" spent the whole day in our kitchen with Richard (it was her only day off from work that week) and we cannot thank her enough. First, Lori shucked 36 ears of corn. Then while Richard pattied out 73 burgers and started boiling 42 brats in beer, Lori made the cheesy potatoes, baked beans, pasta salad. Then she sliced onions and tomatoes and organized the plates, plastic ware, condiments, after which she and "Willow" went out to the picnic tables and got all of them washed off. Then it was time to get the grills on, and there were also some guy angels that helped with the outside cooking. Thanks also to Donna from the Mosquito for her casserole. A big thanks to all the guys for cleaning out "Richards barn" and getting tables and all set up.
We would also like to say "thank you" to Bill and Kim, Bob and Carol and Phil and Kathe for their monetary donations to help toward expense.
My absence was definately not planned and I sure did miss seeing everyone and I will not plan on doing a re-run next year.
