Who rides without sway bars in do you notice any change in handling? Trail riding without the sway bars is ? looking for some input on people that have rode with and without. Off trail also what kind of setup for trail sled without sway bars in. WHATS THE TURNING LIKE ON TIGHT CORNERS AT GOOD SPEED WITHOUT THE BAR VERSES WITH . JUST LOOKING FOR SOME INPUT ON PEOPLE WHO RIDE BOTH WAYS.

When I was playing sway bar games with my XP a couple of years ago, ( for the trail ) I always jacked my front spring pressure way up to compensate if I had the links disconnected. I originally had 80# springs on the front but changed them to 125# springs for my needs. If you have weaker springs there is a trade off in the handling if you do the sway bar - no sway bar hooked up thing. Better to see if you can get quick disconnect link arms for off trail to trail riding. Especially if you want it to corner burn when on the trail it is better to have them hooked up.

pull it learn to ride with out it and you will pull from all your sleds on trail you have to drive your sled not ride it but that is part of the fun.ever see a sway bar on a race sled?off trail I still dont get why the xovers even have them on.I think the worst off trail with a sway bar are the doo's I cant hardly get the xp to pull over to get around a tree or side hill with a sway.I think it is a mistake to crank your fr springs more than absolutely necessary

Well ??? that was going from off trail to trail without a sway bar. With the re-valved & new HPG 16 pos shocks I added and the 125# springs as soon as I came back onto the trail, and went back to corner burning and didn't have the sway bar linked I needed the ski pressure.

With the sway bar on ( or 1 of my beefy bars ), and on the trail in corner burner mode, I had the springs minimually preloaded to keep the "roll center" as low to the ground as possible.... for cornering. I was experimenting with big beefy sway bars, custom made trying to get rid of the inside ski lift the 800r's have. ( Plus tons of other mods and adjustments. My sled had Goodwin Coupler blocks set on 4, to limit the transfer , so my experience is not written in stone , there was alot of mods. The XP 600's no problem, I actually liked them but the 8's have issues. I have dinked with that 8R XP for 5400 miles and finally sold it . I'll take another 07 REV 800 XRS or POO IQ racer for that type of riding. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but that was where I was at with the sway bar , link arms, and the 2 different riding styles we did. NOT to say I have any " style ". I just like... what I like.
