TCR race track 1977

I set up my old TCR race track from when I was a kid. My son just loves this track and we race it a lot. Over the years I picked up a few cars and stuff. You can actually change lanes with this track. There is a Jam car that runs slower than the 2 race cars and you have to pass it. It really is a cool old race track

how did you keep from breaking the tabs that clip the tracks together all this time as a kid I would loose a section every time I took it apart.
some ones mom must have had allot of storage.

the tonkas were made about6 blocks from my house I have a few customers who worked there and have every toy they ever pumped out on display.

sadly now that huge building is a self storage facility/cable tv equipment/ storage ans few rental offices/and small plastic shredding outfit jots of garbage cans shredded from what I can see.
no more toys.well unless you count the outdoor storage part full of big boy toys.
the best part is there old dumping ground is now lake/well chanel/ fr highend town homes they were digging out old rusted crushed tonkas for a week when prepping the site for building

Total control racing... Also Usta have a humongous track in the basement with tyco cars along with the AFX and G force cars that wouldnt fly out of the grooves unless they was haul'n...

never had that one but I recently bought a NOS 1977 rampar,,,,cool bike

that is awesome. I always remember wanting one of those when I was a kid.

You can get one off ebay any day. Here's a few of my scores from last year

I actually got a TCR set back in '94 from my Wife for a Christmas
present. Trashed the cars,... because they went too fast for the
track that was "supplied".
A couple years after,... she bought me a BUNCH of new track sections
so I could build a nice straight away to actually "pass" the other cars,..
but I think I need to do the E-Bay thing to get some more cars,...
Cuz like I said, the ones that came with it got wrecked.
Very cool toy!
The track is downstairs put away in its original box in mint condition.
Now I am tempted to get it back out!

I have one of these packed away in the attic. Hasn't been used for 20 + years going to have to dig it out. Sounds like fun.

we were racing yesterday and the passing works great as long as the track is clean and the pickup shoes clean. I take 800 grip sand paper and clean the track contacts and the car shoes. I than wipe the complete track down with a alcohol rag. Also clean the tires and off we go
