Team RIDEHARD - First team to visit the UP for the 2014/2015 season?

Three of us were able to play hooky from work on Thursday and Friday to see what all this hype was about in the UP after the monster early season storm... And wow was it worth the trip! Nothing like carving down the Bill Nichols trail, which was completely untouched, save for one lone track down the middle (which belonged to Bob from Chicago, which we learned later at the Mosquito).

And to set the record straight in case it hasn't already been, the Bill Nichols is a general use trail that is open year-round. We rode on the 13th and 14th, and the gun hunting season opener is on the 15th. We only rode the BN, power lines, and some other public land. This was one for the record books!

You beat me up to the bug bar by a few days, just got back a half hr ago and still loads of powder on the trail, like riding a jet ski.

Thanks guys! It was great to hit the powder, have a pasty at Krupps, make it in to see Don / Donna and the crew, and have some of that awesome chili and broasted chicken at the Bug Bar! I saw how Indy was kind of getting attacked for riding on the 14th, so I thought I would relay what the good folks at Krupps told us about the BN trail. This season is looking epic already!

The Hunters didn't seem to mind Team Hennessey Panking their trails back to their camps on Friday and Sat!
We obeyed the rules on the "ok times" and never went deep in the woods Sat!
Got to do some fun carving on trail 3 and Krupps field!

It was great meeting you guys up at the Mosquito and South Range BP. Looks like you guys had a blast. Glad you straightened people about the legality of our riding. Hope to see you guys again. I'm heading up for the 12/1 "Official" trail opener. Any chance you guys will be there?

Hey Bob, small world! I'm not sure when we'll be able to make it back up there, most likely mid-December. We will be DJing at the Konteka over in White Pine for New Years... But that's the only UP weekend we have booked for sure. Hopefully we can hang out with you again soon! Great to meet you!

We had no opponents to play this weekend. Instead, a couple members were in Anchorage, Alaska hanging out with some of the Slednecks / Turnagain Hard Core / Frontier films guys (Cory Davis, Paul Thacker, Joey Junker, etc.) for the premier of The Winter Project film.
