How do I get it apart? I got a new spring coming next week, and I'm lost :( I got the plate on the back to start spinning a little. My black marks are where it lines up.

Big Daddy wants to know why you want to change the spring in there. Says it's something that's probably pressed...

with your chaine case, you get that all taken care of? He just had that happen on his 800 -he just replaced the chain case - Big Daddy doesn't play with JB weld?!? :O

You still have your 700 right? You get any riding in today?

Big Daddy says of all the things he's taken apart on a sled that isn't one of them so he doesn't wanna be one of those guys who's just talking crap and lead you in a bad direction.

What happened with your chain case? what did you decide?

Sorry about no more snow...got too warm today, eh?

Actually, she got a lil warm yesterday. Today was pretty cold, if we had enough snow, today would've been a good day to ride. I drilled and tapped out my driveshaft for a 3/8" bolt, and i'm going to JB weld the little crack. Tomorrow I'll get my 700 out, and swap tracks. Right now, the big time taker is the rear suspension. I have it completly disassembled since I'm painting it piece by piece, polishing the rails, repacking all the bogey bearings, etc. I have too much time on my hands...

My mechanic bro in law swears by JB weld...Big Daddy don't play with JB weld. But he agrees that if it isn't load bearing will just have to make sure your alignment is good.

At least you are spending the too much time that you got on your hands on something cool...you'll be like Big Daddy - knowing how to take apart any kind of motor and know how to fix all kinds of cool stuff. Snowmobiling gets really expensive if you don't know how to maintain and fix your fleet!
