To get a product to put around the seal on my new enclosed trailer so it doesn't freeze up. Never had an enclosed trailer before. Brought it home and parked it in the driveway and got a little tiny bit of freezing rain on it and it was like it was welded shut. Have to believe that dragging it down a road full of crap will only be worse. It is a Triton. Thanks in advance.

Silicone spray. Have heard "do not use" WD40 heard it damages rubber over time.
Heard one guy say to use PAM cooking spray years ago, but only ever heard that the one time.

X2 on the Silicone spray, it might take a couple of applications during the winter and you can find it at any automotive or hardware store.

Nothing I tried ever worked. Ended up just carrying a blow torch. But remember to bring into the house at night. Mine never worked when it was cold.

I have seen a lot of the flow protectors get frozen down but never a trition . cant you adjust the amount of contact the seal has to the deck by loosening the bolts shimming up and tightening? my trition clam had like a light 1/16 of a inch gap on the fr side when closed

Seal is plenty tight. Bought it new and had them lock me inside. Could not see any light anywhere. Dont like the idea of grease or even antifreeze because it will end up on clothing sooner rather than later.

Sprays and coatings are all going to be a temporary fix. We have frozen doors on enclosed trailers all the time. Rubber mallet does help. Best cure is a short drive on pothole infested road. Rattles every seam loose in no time.
Honestly, we don't even use a mallet most of the time. Just take a couple of fist hits to the sides. It will break things loose enough in a hurry. We do see the seams do build up with more ice over time. It is a fact of life with longer trips and parking sleds in the trailer overnight. Coatings do not prevent that ice. I just break up that ice before closing up the trailer. Usually use whatever is available. Tire iron on shelf in trailer works pretty good.
I could give a pretty good anthology about this topic. Probably deal with this 40-50 times a year on the trailer. Have narrowed it down to the KISS principle. Ice is cleared from the seams before sleds have idled down from their cold starts.

I have made many molds for shed spread to ATM machine interfaces....and we always used bear grease....wont harm any rubber and nothing sticks....but that's not friendly these days and there is a new kid on the block who is 50 times better and food grade...I would just get a tube of this...all the new nano stuff is the shazz natz....NANO CERAMIC MOLD GREASE

I have to agree with favoritos, I have a TopCap trailer and have experienced this several times. He is right, just take it for a spin and it will bust loose. Although if your sleds are in it first thing in the morning I have also just used a pry bar and popped it loose.
