testing AC stators

Does any one know how to test a stator while it is in the machine yet ? or does anyone know where to find the video that was posted on this site a while back on how to check them ? Thanks for the help

just a ohm test wont always tell the story the dealer has a ohm with load tester and that wont always tell te whole story.working on a 02 cat 800 last yr both tests showed ok but still running like poo new stator fixed it.look on u tube there is a guy on there that has videos on testing

Did someone say stator testing? Go you youtube and type in Blainedp and all of my videos will pop up. You also should be able to do a search for Acrtic Cat stator on youtube and have most if not all of them pop up. I also rewind 1990's Cat stators with a 2 year warranty. Here is the basic how to test a stator in a sled video. Even if you have a different model the procedure is basically the same.
