where exactly is the old trail 5350, off 107? is that the old forest road...? we were coming south on 107 from Kenton, this past week, and only saw a red flag, on a sign.....

..... not sure, so we decided to go further south to 150, and take trail 3 back north to Bond Falls Rd.....

yes it is the forest road off the 107, it does have a sign with 5350 on it

Thanks for all the wonderful support!
Randy and I can't wait to get the Flowage open soon, but the MLCC isn't cooperating quick enough with us. The Flowage was always a FAVORITE stop for our family during all seasons and hope everyone feels the same way. I will keep you updated on the opening of The Flowage and welcome everyone to come visit.

I would love to meet you.
Thank you, Cheryl Goode

No license? So open without it!

Is there any good reason why the Flowage can't open without the liquor license?

Okay, so no "adult beverages" could be sold until the license comes through, but no food and non-alcoholic beverages either?

It's just plain ridiculous to wait, IMHO!

I think the final closing on the sale is contingent upon Randy and Cheryl obtaining a Michigan Liquor License.

Thank you weasel, That is correct the final sale of the business is contingent upon the Liqour License. So unfortunately we can't open with our liqour license. We will continue to update you and hope to hear goode news from the MLCC on Tuesday!

The sale was contingent upon the transfer of the liquor license exactly as the seller held it which was indoor liquor, packaged and a outdoor beer garden. The state would not let them have the package liquor or the outside beer garden license because of the outside gas tank location. So they would have had to move the gas tank in order to get the license. They approached the sellers to compensate them for the expense of moving the tank and the seller said not budging, so they walked away

I know the perfect person.

Go look in the mirror!

An outdoor beer garden doesn't appeal to me in the dead of winter anyways. I think they used to have stuff going on out back in the summer but it shouldn't be a deal breaker. You'll make more off gas sales anyways.

X2 not sure outdoor beer garden would be profitable but what do I know? Like Dave it has no appeal to me. To relocate a gas tank would be huge bucks if underground..... some bucks but not as expensive above ground. Gas tank should not be game breaker either as lots of gas in the area......not sure I would care about that either more of a PIA than money maker.

Really? You do realize a ma & pop, owner operated, out of the way business like this makes less than .05¢ a gallon right? It's more of a convenience for your patrons than anything. I agree with the fact that a beer garden is negligible, but I would rather sell one tap beer at almost 100% profit than a gallon of gasoline at less than 1% profit.

It's too bad though, we used to love going up to there for lunch on a Sunday afternoon and were looking forward to it re-opening. Maybe we'll luck out and a new deal will be hatched either by the current wannabe buyers or someone new that has learned from this latest experience.

Wonder who is selling the bank or previous owners? My guess is the bank since adjustments should be made since loss of revenue from orginal offer. Loss of revenue the biz is worth less plain & simple. Too bad.:(
