As the title states, snow or no snow we're coming up on the 19th. We have Pats beautiful log cabin in Greenland reserved for an early Christmas with the family again this year and we were thinking about canceling. After talking it over we said, "the heck with it, lets go anyways". I have a new Stealth trailer loaded with sleds just iching to get miles on its tires and my Duramax with new tires is the same way. So, we decided to come up and enjoy the area snow or no snow. If we get snow while we are up, then the sleds come out of the trailer and we ride. If there is no snow, then we take the big liquid down to the Bug bar and enjoy a great sandwich and maybe some soup, and have fun with Donna and Co there for an evening. Still no snow? Then we will check out Beer Belly Bobs for a couple cold ones and maybe Lenny will be there and we can toast our kids serving in the USN. Maybe the next day if still snowless we could head to Baraga and spread some cheer at the Casino. And I know the big liquid could make it up to Krupps for a pasty and strudel. My point is this, time with my family is priceless to me. This trip has been planned since last year when we had the cabin, and everyone has been looking forward to it. We will do our part to stimulate the economy of my homeland, LOL. Mother Nature, "I spit in your eye". You can't keep me out of the UP, see you Thursday..........

Bravo! There have been some great posts on the board recently, but this takes the cake.

Many of the best moments of my life came completely unplanned. Serendipity is a wonderful thing.

Have a safe trip up!

We are headed up too! Got two of the four sleds loaded....planning on heading up either Tuesday or Wednesday. At dinner my son asked the boss, do you still want to go if there isn't snow? She was like, of course....I can't relax like that at home. When we come home will be dependent on the snow though.

That is what the wife and I did this weekend. Had the trailer loaded up and ready to go but left it home. Headed to Jack pine lodge from there we headed to Newberry and up to Tahquamenon Falls and walked into the falls. It was snowing hard when we got there Saturday night. Went back to the falls today and up to white fish point and just got home. It was a great weekend in the UP. Would have been better to fire the sleds up but it was still great to get back up there and relax and breath.

Good for you!!! Its amazing the wave of relaxation that comes over me as soon as we hit the Mac Bridge and cross into the UP. Snow or no snow you will have a great trip.

Did I mention I kick and scream and throw a temper tantrum when we cross back in the south bound lane??? I'm no better than a small child on the way home. lol

That's the spirit!
We had plans this last weekend with like 10-12 guys to come up and ride!
I had a few chores to do at the shack so I came up alone! had a great time!
Got to attend the Twin Lakes Xmas party at the fire hall and got to spend time with a lot of great people as is poured rain outside!
Santa came in on a fire truck and everything!
had a great fish/steak fry Friday night with Chad at the snowmobile club down in Houghton!
Had an awesome fried chicken meal at the Bug bar Thursday night!
Stuffed every night!
I left my sled at home wishing is would snow a ton using reverse psychology- well that didn't work!
I feel like you will be able to use your sleds! everyone is doing the snow dance up there for ya!
And if it doesn't you'll still have a great time!
Have a Merry Christmas!
I wish I was up again this weekend "snow or no snow!
