I have always been a dirtbike and ATV rider. Back in 1997 I was 21 and worked with a lady at UPS who asked me if I had ever been snowmobiling. I said no, but always wanted to try. She said her and 3 of her friends (all gals) got them and were heading up to a place in Michigan called St. Ignace for 4 days and if I wanted to go? A snowmobile trip with 3 women how can you pass that up? I went and rented me a 1997 cat 440. I had the time of my life riding that sled. I knew at that moment I was hooked. Since then I have been riding older 2 stroke sleds, but this year I finally bought the big dog. I got a new 07 Yamaha Attak looking at me in the garage everytime I go out there. I've already been talking about when I retire buying a place in the UP and so forth just to feed this addiction. I have no desire to head South for warm weather anymore. let it snow let it snow!

It dosent ever stop, from the last ride of the year all i am doing is just thinkin about the first run of the next year. The crave for the snow never stops. If it wasnt for john dee and this site i would think i was going crazy being the only one.

I have the itch 24/7/365, no matter how hard I scratch, I can't get rid of the itch.

I love snow!! I can’t wait!! The first forecast of snow in west central IL have my blood pressure up and my head spinning. I drive my wife nuts checking the window for the first flurries. My first ride of a season was October 23 and we weren’t even done with harvest yet. My latest was April 15 and there was corn planted in the neighborhood. The most miles for a season were 3100, 2000 in the U P and 1100 in IL. The most for a day was just over 300 and 1165 for a 5 day trip. My goal is to break all my records every year! I have been riding for 34 years and I like it better every winter.
