OK, I almost sprayed my Honey Nut cereal all over the keyboard on this one.</SPAN>
This is an extreme example but it’s a true story. A couple of years back, my brother and I made a loop from his place near Baudette, MN down to Big Falls, Northhome, Kelliher, Waskish, and back into Baudette. I don’t remember the exact mileage but it was in the 220 – 240 range. On the entire loop we met three sleds and two groomers. This was during the day and it wasn’t even 40 degrees below zero.

Yes, it can be cold but the local clubs have done a great job of setting up and maintaining shelters at points along the trail so if necessary, you can start a fire and warm up.

It must have been a busy day Skiroule, I have ridden that area many times and meeting two or three sleds is not unusual. The trail from Baudette to Northhome is about 90 miles and I think it only crosses about six or eight roads. I have ridden that trail about a half dozen times and don't ever remember meeting another sled except right near Baudette.
