The Nature Conservancy announces major land acquisition in Keweenaw County

Known as the Keweenaw Heartlands, TNC closed on the acquisition of 22,700 acres from The Rohatyn Group and has entered into a purchase agreement for an additional 8,900 acres.

At face value it sets off the red lights in my head with regards to the trails and public access generally, but it seems like folks have said that in this particular case The Nature Conservancy is a good partner.
