Quote from Mpls. Star Trib

I am a Vikings fan and although I will be cheering for the C Bears next weekend I thought this quote, part of a Micheal Rand article from the local paper, was...well... you decide.

"The Bears to this generation of Vikings fans are a relatively harmless franchise that catches lighting in a bottle once every five years and rides an extraordinary mixture of well-timed plays and ridiculous breaks to a huge season."

"This years collection of horseshoes included the Calvin Jones play (turning an almost certain loss against Detroit into a victory in Week 1); an inordinate amount of games against back-up quaterbacks, and needing only to win a home playoff game against a team with a losing record to gain the right to host the NFC title game. It's frustrating, but it's true the Bears could just as quickly be 7-9 again next season. It's just how they work."

Gotta love that "collection of horseshoes" remark....

"GO PACK GO"

Oh yeah, the Bears still suck! There's a song written about it, so it must be true.
I have a sticker proclaiming it, proudly displayed in my office.

I realize that anything I write here will not change the hearts and/or minds of any Bears fans. That's cool. Your posts don't change my heart or mind, either. However, if you look at the two teams, you have to say that The Green Bay Packers have the most talent, the better QB-BY FAR- and have the momentum rolling along. Plus, the entire team is playing better than the Bears. The Bears have talent, but I think the Green Bay Packers have more across the board. Packers win 24-10. Bears Whine 10-24. You heard it here first.

Just think. It's down to the Bears and Packers for the NFC championship. The two teams that were figured to finish between the Vikes and Lions.
Poor Viking fans. They had a season that will be remembered a long time for a lot of failure.

This really just couldn't get anymore exciting. All I know is the losing teams fans are going to remember January 23rd 2011 for a long long long time because they will have to hear about it from Packer fans forever. Matchups like this are almost a once in a lifetime thing. Just doesnt get any better.

Other then Rodgers (and that is questionable given he has a better OF line), who else are you talking about? Both teams match up pretty evenly if you look at the stats.

However, I do see two areas that the Bears have over the Pack – Running game and Special Teams.

I’ll give you that the Pack have got a bit more momentum going into the post season then that Bears, but so did the Pat’s, so did Falcon’s and look what happened to them. What I am getting at is that the way the post season has gone in both conferences, anything can happen.<O:p</O:p

Obviously, you didn't read the first sentence. My opinion-the Packers are better than the Bears. You say not. We will see on Sunday which team is better that day. Packers vs Steelers in the Super Bowl!!

Might be able to ride the sled down to the game if it keeps snowing like today. Usually gets real cold after big snow! Should be lots of tickets available on gameday like the 67 ICE BOWL! Maybe time for JD to give us a GAME DAY FORECAST ?? How are the trails down that way?? Maybe if I ride the sled down to the game I could get on TV like the homeless bum and get a free ticket !! LOL!! I did read your first sentence. Did you read mine - How are the Pack better then the Bears? And Actually, I did not say the Bears are better then the Pack overall, just Special Teams and Running.

Bears - Jets in the Super Bowl...
