Every town seems to have one place that is THE place to eat. What is the one near hougton/calumet the locals all go to?

Henry"s is my choice. If you got a hundred burning a hole in your pocket then a big night at the Library will do.

Hill side service from a "muff pot"or "Hot dogger" is my prefered means of "THE place to eat".

Peterson's if during the summer. Best broiled fish, PERIOD.

Every time we are there we spend one night (maybe two) at the Ambassador for pizza. Sometimes head to Joey's seafood, and last year had a great meal at a spot on the north side east of the bridge right on the trail. Forgot the name of it but I think it was refered to as a supper club. It was right buy the club trail to Dreamland, maybe someone else can tell you the name. Some of the best Prime Rib I've had, and my son said the same about the burger he had. It's on our must return list for this year.

I think you're talking about Quincy's. Very good food and prime rib is one of their specialties. For burgers, I find the Downtowner in Houghton hard to beat. Also like The Loading Zone in Lake Linden for pizza. This is not a good thread for us dieters.

I'm surprised at the number of people liking Quincy's. I ate their 2x both steaks both horrible and the gin and tonic was flat.

Henry's in Rockland is a bit of a drive from Houghton but the build your own pizza night is worth the drive.
