The Snowies

We had a great time, I know now why they call them the blowies also. WOW. There was no carnage, and no avy's! There was good snow if you knew where to look. We didn't know where to look, so we rode until we found it! I knew that we needed to get to the west side, and get into the trees, to find the good stuff, so that is what we did. I've never used a gps before, but I bought one for this trip, and also the 24k TOPO map for tha area on an sd card. It was very useful it helping us AVOID dropping down into a couple of spots that we may have not gotten out of.

Flat light sucks! Joe didn't see this creek until it was too late! He hammered it to try to jump it, hit hard into the other side, breaking his plastic cowling with his knee, and then stayed on the gas to try to get out, and then stuffed it into the bank on the other side. LOL. A little digging, and some help from the rattler, and we had it out.

I think Thursday was the best day of riding. On our way back from the west side the clouds were clearing out, and we did some hill climbing in the Lake Marie area. It was blowing so hard I did not even know these hills were there. LOL.

I think my buddy Joe may invest in a pair of knee/shinguards after he jammed his knee into the console. LOL.

sweet pics Skylar good to see you and the crew.....wow joes son sure can ride.....

You too Pat, I am glad we were able to run into each other on Friday's ride! Thanks for the dog! Joe's son rides pretty darn good for his age, he was right with us all 3 days. If we could have gotten his sled dialed in a little better he would have not gotten as stuck as much as he did. You should have seen him poke his sled into a big pine on Friday. LOL. Kim has a picture of it. It didn't hurt anything, but he managed to knock most of the snow off the thing lol.

I don't see any water wings in any of those pics. Must not have been deep enough.:D Nice pics. I think I saw your bro trail side on the first day out, just a ways up from the cabins. Had I known at the time I would have stoped to say hello.
