The things we do to keep the wife happy

We were discussing the upcoming snowmobile season when the wife mentioned she really didn't want to chase snow in the H1. She told me it was difficult for her to talk over the stereo which drowns out the engine, transmission and tires. (10 hours of of silence from the wife, that's a problem???) She continued to say that it's noisy and looks like a "red neck vehicle" (maybe because of the hanging ball sack or train horns or maybe the big fat tires or winch).

I explained to her that her Hemi power Jeep just didn't have the suspension or wheelbase to handle our 32' (OAL) enclosed trailer. She brought up ugly and loud a few more times. I made the mistake and didn't have her along when I bought the H, so I have been hearing about it ever since.

I gave in and the H is gone. I just could not justify having it aroud if I wasn't going to tow the trailer.
I guess I'll just have to suffer and make do with what she picked out and bought me:

F350 4x4 Crew Cab King Ranch Edition Diesel 800ft lbs torque, 400hp

Now I got to find the time to get the recommended miles on it (500) before towing.

One of my good friends parents have one of those beautiful trucks, if I remember correctly the leather seats are some of the softest and nicest seats available! Congrats!

Awesome! Now, make sure and put the hanging ball sack on there, and the train horn, oh yea, don't forget the winch! :)

She'd really love a set of four inch chrome stacks on that baby! Need to throw the jake brake in too! lol.
Nice truck. Won't even know the trailer is back there...

I test drove a beautiful H2 in white with all the trimmings (minus the ball sack thing). Within three miles, I got some of the nastiest looks and a lady (so I thought) flipped me off. What a bad rap that vehicle has as a guzzler. Nice truck you bought!

ain't nobody happy if momma isn't happy!! you'll like the ride, but my experience with the F series is it sucks gas pulling a trialer, but you'll do it in comfort!
have fun!

Ahh, but diesels (like this one) generally don't suck gas! :p

I sold my H1 a few months ago. I have had 4 of them over the years, since 1996. It was a sad day....but you are right. Other then the two in the front, they are not that comfortable. BUT, that thing saved me more then once from getting stuck, etc. I still have not replaced it. I have two more weeks. The first time I get stuck or can't chase a storm, I will really regret selling.

Nice ride, you will love it!! I traded in my 03 F250 7.3l in Feb on a new one, loaded up but not a K.R. and love it.

I think so, if I would have bought the gas, I would have walk away with about 800 in my pocket. I forgot the remote for the winch. When I brought it back later that day, the H was already gone (Sold).
