Lenny, all the pro riders say forget about they mtn. bar. Had a few explain to me why. The video makes total sense. Looks like some more lessons need learnin' for this event to actually work out to anything more then a fence row ride around the farm??
Willey, my 2012 pro came with one, it kinda helps protect my GPS on a roll over.

Grab bars work great if you never put your sled on its side. I have riden with a few old timers out west who still ride that way in the mountains. they will even go so far as to actually stand out on a ski in order to keep the sled planted to the hill. for that the grab bar is essential along with a lefty throttle, and I think that was the original intended purpose of it.

If you have the sled rolled up on its edge in order to do a side hill there's no reason for grab bar. You will most definitely have WAY less control.

I use mine only at low speeds in off camber scenarios. Like getting around a tree! I never use it when on edge! When on edge keep your hands on the bars and the throttle pinned!

Your right Wayne. For some reason I thought it was an add on item. Might have been missing from one I had my eyes on. Like cooksend said slow rolling through the tight trees they can be helpful.
I'll show you guys proper technique in February!

Lol! Funny **** stuff guys! Keep it coming! I like having a good chuckle, and watching a good video in the morning to wind down before crashing.

The grab bar was great when the kids where little,it gave them a great place to hold on. I must be at the wrong bar? I've been in a few bars up in them parts. Not too many ladies I've run into in them bars,I'd let hold on to my grab bar. I have broken two helmets on my grab bar,(mouth pieces). Both mishaps happened in the Baraga Plains. Speed was not a factor,I was simply going way to fast to jump that sh$t.lol

I'm out I was looking at my sled closer today I think it's done. I could bring the srx mountain but I think you guys had enough pulling on my ski loops over this past weekend.

Steve, the snow here is not as deep up in Herman where we rode. That snow was insane, seriously, it was too deep for hill climbing with trees in such close proximity.

You would do much better up here on the SRX Mtn but will still be a lot of work. Your call

well, today was the big day. We had a crew of (6) cooksend, Byrne71, boondocker82, AJ, Brian and myself. I didn't get any good shots but just a few fair ones and they don't even come close to what the terrain actually was
