if u were to do a Al-Almas cruse with in 10 min there is a cool mini golf/sculpture garden with chickens and goats running around cool place.
http://bigstoneminigolf.com/ the best food imho in that area would be the Dakota junction in mound on your way to the golf grab some take out and eat in a sculpture in the woods at golf.
if down town u can stroll the stone arch bridge and get some nice picks and its free (my grate grate grandfather was the stone mason contractor on it) weekends usually a small farmers market close by next to the walker for a quick lunch to carry down
