Making the trip in the summer for the first time. Staying in Houghton, but wanted to take the wife and do something interesting and see some of the Keweenaw. Only have a day though. Picking up my son from Tech hockey camp.
Thought about driving up to Copper Harbor, are there any trails to get down to the lake that aren't very long? The wife just had a knee replacement couple months back, so limited on the distance. I know we can drive up on the Brockways just outside of Copper Harbor that is part of the trail in winter.
Anywhere to rent kayaks and get out on Lake Superior for a couple hours or other water way? I know Chad rents some boats for the portage too.
Give me some suggestions.
Thanks everyone. Looking forward to the winter!
Jim
