Just arrived in the Twin Lakes and the trails look great! Flat and base looks good as well!
I took a couple pics and will try to upload later!
The snow is at least bunghole deep yet!
way better than any Dec for a long time that I can remember!
trail 3 and 109 look great!
its like a ghost town up here so I'm sure you could get lodging anywhere!
this wont be my last trip for sure!
im guessing there is two more weekends left of white gold!
BRAAAAAAAAP!

The high country will have good riding for several more weeks, and one good fresh dump will provide the best sledding of the winter....and you can ride longer in daylight.

Next year, remember this....and perhaps don't expect quite so much from the winter on the front side of the season.

Up to 6" fresh coming Friday into Saturday!

... Heavy... wet snow expected Friday night through Saturday evening...

Low pressure tracking across the northern plains Friday night and into
northern lower Michigan Saturday night will spread heavy... wet snow
across west and central Upper Michigan. The snow should begin in
western Upper Michigan late Friday evening and will spread into
central Upper Michigan overnight Friday night into early Saturday
morning. During Saturday afternoon and evening... the snow will mix
with and possibly change to just rain over south central Upper
Michigan. Some sleet is possible in the transition zone between the
rain and snow.

A few inches of heavy... wet snow is possible across south central
Upper Michigan Friday night through Saturday morning before
precipitation mixes with or changes to rain. Farther north... total
snow accumulations upwards of around 6 inches could occur in a swath
from Ironwood and Ontonagon to Marquette and Gwinn... then east to
Grand Marais and Newberry. Slightly lower amounts are expected on the
Keweenaw peninsula.

Let's see now...6 inches of fresh heavy on a base that now starts gettn close to some out west areas, and everyone has gone home for the season! Trails accessible and logging spurs will mean tow straps and shovel will be required equipment because machines will be buried this weekend.

We stuck in suburbia expect a full pictorial by tuesday.

where's the pics , heard you had fun and a lot of stucks and bloopers, proof please to share with others that aren't here. It started snowing here around 5 a.m. at 7 a.m. 1-2 inches already! Going through old pics remember a storm dropped a 1' of fresh powder and we rode for 5 days with the 1st pushing snow over the hood, maybe you hit it right this trip, but I'm sure you'll get a few more rides in before the mud run.

Trails around Munising area are still stellar. Rode in the rain-snow saturday night. It was warm and the trails were slush. Corners were banked with slight shop. Incredible riding! Got to be another 2 weeks of trail riding. I predict 2nd week of MAy for woods riding. The plains have soooo much snow on the ground. It is nuts. We just need the warm temps to soften the base and make for some mashed potatoes.

Was up there last week in the areas around Twin lakes - the trails were the best I've seen. Rode up as far as Delaware, north of Pheonix, where there was some powder.
Best areas for trails are 109, Fieda trails, 13 and 3 up to Houghton. I saw 2-3 bumps-these trails were great. North of Houghton its real bad on 17 thru Hancock and then improves a bit but not great again til Mohawk.
