" I think the writing is on the wall " here is my thought on that and I'm not directing this response at anyone in particular and I hope what I am going to say doesn't upset anyone. I also am not claiming I know what's going on behind the scenes and its not my place to assume or think that I do. If we want to guarantee "the writing is on the wall" one easy way to do that is, don't post, don't participate. I for one am thankful the John Dee site still exists, I have said before...this site has its own feel, its a tight knit family with similar interests, willing to help one another out when a question arises, post our rides, experiences, pictures and for some post information that goes beyond snowmobiling. I'm not saying that other sites dont but John Dee has a very different feel and again not replicated. Obviously there is interest in this site when you have 200+ guests looking at the site but I wonder why at the same time there may be 2..3 or 5 members. Then you have all the members logged in that either have never posted or haven't in a very long time, some of which are long time recognized names who at one time posted regularly. If people aren't posting because they couldn't get on it when they wanted to, or to think that it is now yesterdays news and was pertinent that it was posted the day before and now is no longer important? sorry but I'm not buying it and if that is truly the reason why I think that's kind of sad and in a way pathetic. I am grateful for everyone who work behind the scenes to keep this site up and functional and again I have no idea the struggles or problems that are occurring behind the scenes and I am not about to pretend I do know. Yes its frustrating when the site is down, no more than it is for me when I cant get on my manufacturers or distributors sites, John never intended this site to be brand specific, never wanted any bragging or bashing and at times to some peoples dismay enforced the rules and more times than not let things slide. Then created "Barstool" where people could take their grievances which to be honest to you I'm not quite sure belonged here. There are forums here and instructions as to what to post on them that cover everything people would want to post. Again John's vision was a stand alone and I think it should stay that way. I again put a call out to all its members, past and present, lets keep this site alive and keeps John's vision for this site. Come on you guys and gals, we are all and we all were family here, whether we had our disagreements, lets all come back, start posting, as i'm sure most of us still ride and have something we can post, pictures, information... something that all of us including guests find interesting or helpful. Dee does not have to be bookface or cookie cutter websites like others, never was. It lies in our hands to return it to its glory and it can be done, takes some participation and I know you guys and gals are out there, lets bring it back!
