Thinking about upgrading to a newer sled for me. Can get very good deal on this sled, was wondering if there are any worries with this sled? Sled has less than 2000 miles and always been taken care of.

I've got an 06 crossfire 700 sno pro with 7000 miles on it, and I've never had any problems with it. I've just changed out the act drive every season, and changed out slides, carbides, and idler wheels as needed. The 700 cat motor is awesome. I've got a bmp y pipe and exhaust on mine into a speedwerx muffler, and its awesome. It runs 110 all day long on the hard pack out on the lake.

For under 2000 miles, and if your getting a good deal, I would pull the trigger on it IMO.

great sled theme xfires are. Nimble sleds that do trails and offtrail well. They like the fuel but so what, it's a bullet proof machine. Keep the DD fluid maintained and good to go

I also had a 2006 Crossfire 700, best sled I have ever owned. Too early to tell on my backcountry but so far so good. Pulled diamond drive every season to clean and inspect, changed plugs every season for peace of mind and also cleaned exhaust valves. That engine is bullet proof, always started on first pull when you have been riding it. Otherwise two pulls and it's running, three after storage for the summer. 5200 miles when I sold it and both cylinders had about 140/140 compression. Never an issue, you will love it.

Thanks guys for the feedback. Did have one question been reading a lot of people adding tunnel supports because on the non sno pros the tunnel is weak in the back, anyone have any info on this?

I bought mine new in 06,still have it. Mine has a few more miles than that,church is quite aways from home. Could you send me the sellers info,via pm. With a sled that old and the low miles,it needs to go to the right home!

I put them on my x fire.
more or less rivet to the tunnel and the running board.
I actually put on a set of CPC racing running board no snows served same purpose and allowed me to cut out more running board.
I have a used set of the tunnel stiffeners not sure what they are worth shoot me a offer .I also have a set of 11 running board outer alloy and rear angel gussets if planning on a 09up tunnel up date.
let it all go cheep.
but if u really want something my bud is parting with a set of Mike Knapp ported jugs for that thing .
in 700 forum with timing and fat azz pipe set up it dyno 159 they are a work of art.

I've got an 06 600 (non-sno pro) I have not had an issue with the tunnel, over 4200 backwoods miles. I thought the "sno pro" was the one with the weaker tunnel? Nonetheless, no issues for me. As stated above, keep the diamond drive fresh with a flush & fill every season. As time goes, you may find little things to do to it to tweak the sled for your riding style. I love the backwoods, so I added an 09 adjustable steering post with mountain bars, parabolic ski's, extended the rails to 144 & put on a 2" paddle. The key to any good sled is regular & timely maintenance. This is the best sled I've had, even though I would like something "New", I can't justify the $12 - $13G's. You won't go wrong with your choice, enjoy.-Mezz

I agree with others that it was the best sled I ever had. 8000 miles with just basic maintenance. The only thing to keep in mind would be no reverse or any way to add reverse.

Check out the mag side motor mount, and stay on top of the 3" secondary bushing it you are looking for optimum performance.

I pounded the snot out of mine and loved it! Easy to gain a bit of extra power out of the motor and lots of aftermarket for the Crossfire/M Chassis!

not that it really needs more power after all it only has 3 less hp than the 2012 poo 800
