Thoughts on Sled Modifications........

I have been working on my 07 Switchback 600 CFI; not quite as ambitious as Skylar was however. Nice job Skylar. My sled started life with 144"x 1.5" track and extended the track to 151" x 2". I also installed SLP pipe and silencer, SLP air horn intake kit, various other SLP air intake parts to get it to breath easier, lowered the gearing, tweaked the clutch to get it to engage low end quicker (lost top end speed but then again don't need that in the trees). Concern I have is power from the 600 even with the pipe, gearing and clutch modifications, that with longer track now (and heavier it seams) that this will be too much for the engine in the powder. Also, I just finished installing spindles from a 09 RMK and Sly Dog Powderhound skis. Appears my camber is off, based on what my manual says and was wondering if there are any tips on getting the skis back into alignment with out taking it to a shop. Any thoughts on power or camber issues.....

I can't help with the camber, but as far as power spinning that track, I think you will be fine. My RMK is a 2.4x155 and I never had any issues with power here at home. Out west it would have been nice to have more, but, you make do with what ya have eh?

Nice looking Switcher by the way!

You might want to think about reeds. The pipe and other things you did will give you more midrange and high end HP, but you might find your low end a little boggy. The reeds will wake up that low end again and give you the hole shot that so many of us like. Others I know have tried re-gearing to bring back the hole shot, but it did not have as good effect as reeds. Boysen Rad or V-Force 3's are both great reed packages

you could always shave the head 9 or 10 tho that is always good for a few pony's for $100 or less.and I assume you already have to run 92octane withe the pipe so why not shave her.
