Pub N Grub is one of our regular stops when we go riding. Make sure to try the Chili, it's the owner's own recipe, and outstanding.

Speaking of the owner, he goes by the name Slim, and is a great guy. I had a good conversation with him the last time I was there, and thanked him for providing us with up to date, HONEST snow condition reports. If you ever want to know what the conditions are like, give him a call at 715-292-7546.

Always a good time and good food there. Not sure if he still does but the owner, Slim, would also run the grommer quite a bit.

The owner Doug, is a great guy. We have stayed at the cabins there four-wheeling, for many years now. Sometimes we do two atv trips a year and stay there. Everything that you need is right there. Gas, food, bar, cabins, he even serves breakfast now on Sunday's from 9 till noon. You can't go wrong with the Pub-N-Grub!

Can one sled directly here from the Gogebic area or would one need to trailer? If you happen to know a sleddin trail route please let me know.

Thanks for the help--

That would be a heck of a ride from Gogebic. I'm sure it can be done though.

It was the busiest weekend of the year up in this area.

I'm guessing that Gogebic to Valhalla would be about 160 miles one way. Gogebic to Hurley to Mellen to Ashland to Valhalla.

Gas at Pub and Grub

You have to have a credit card for their pumps. Works great when you have tons of machines waiting to gas up. Their chili with bread ROCKS. Not so hot on their Bloody's. Also a great place to go on atv's in summer but you have to check their hours, they change during the seasons. Doug did a great job on remodeling, lots bigger and seperate dining room for those who don't like the bar atmosphere ( that wouldn't be me!) They are also big supporters of our clubs up here!
