Time to buy Apple. Thinking is they will up yield & go into stock buy back mode. As you know Apple loaded with cash has to do something with it been sitting on it for years. Iphone needs a larger screen & Apple will get there. They are still in good shape & better days ahead.

I just upgraded to the 5 and it's screen is larger. I'd hate for it to be any bigger. That's why I won't get a droid. One reason anyway.

Nope.... didn't have Apple I don't mess with growth stocks any more. If I had Apple I would of sold it as soon as it started to waiver all the signs to sell were there just needed to pick your day & time since has been so up & down in recent weeks. I'm invested in best of breed Yield stocks that can't help but grow. Trouble with growth stocks is when they stop growing the fall is off the cliff just like Apple. Apple had a great run just need to know when to sell & will be interesting to see what Apple management does to get back on track. If they become a fat Yield stock I would buy it.

Just about anyone with a 401K owns some APPL and many Mutual Funds have a percentage too. No doubt it's been a bad week add to that the snowless winter with most sleds up on their dollies yet.

Sheesh! Time for an Adult Beverage. Anyone else?

Whitedust - What high yield stocks do you like if you don't mind sharing? Thanks. - pfeifest

I find it amusing that Apple Iphone/Ipad sales dip 3-4% and everyone panics. They are still the biggest tech company by far, way outselling it's competitors. The fact that the "techies" (who all hate apple) have panned them because they haven't come out with any re-fresh or new I phone in a year is ammusing as well.
Their phones are still selling for hundreds of dollars more than it's competition which tells me that they are doing just fine.

Apple innovation has been replaced by brand segmentation, an old marketing trick to keep it "fresh". Line extensions and sku additions are not innovations. Time for some new thinking at Apple.

Agree need to get back on track with new products stable stock after the fall stops but needs to refresh line up with new products that don't crossover current products market & sales. Everyone knew competition was coming on so now Apple has to deal with competition price & features. I have seen this sooooooooooo many times when the tech leader gets knocked off the pedestal very difficult to recapture lost business. We shall see. I still think Apple will go into stock buy back mode.

Heck no not a blip huge decrease in value & more to come until can either up Yield or buy back stock. Apple has to do something or fall further.

Here is a nice fat Yield stock for ya bounces from about $9 to $12 maybe ready for another run TAXI. This 1 you hang on to for Yield only.

Thanks. Yeah - I remember when they went public but haven't heard much of them since. If you are bored check out NTI. Note: The dividend yield most places report for them isn't correct - but if you look into it they are still a very high yielding company. They were spun off Marathon Oil and are one of the only games in town in terms of transporting and refining the Shale oil from ND/Canada. All your eggs would be in one basket with that stock (counting on their MN plant to stay operational and counting on the spread they receive not narrowing).

I find it sad we need to talk about this instead of snowmobiling.... just another one of those WI winters.
