What I am getting at is a thread to share with everyone else the great ideas or tricks to make what we do easier or better.

I will start.

The first thing I do when I get a new trailer is to take off all of the lug nuts and put anti seize on the studs and then throw away the regular lug nuts and put on lug nuts that dont show any threads( Like chrome mag wheel lug nuts) that will rust and make changing a tire espically along the road a pain in the _ss.

Anybody else

Oh my, I Amsoil everything with a motor that I own. Some motors sooner than others. Then I dimple die the running boards of sleds to give better traction, better snow evacuation and add strength to the boards. I also like the stock look it gives. I also do the anti seize trick with the trailer lugs and that works well. I also add to my computer Favorites all my snowmobile related sites (such as weather, snow dept charts, web cams, etc.) and to my tool bar the real important snowmobile information sites for faster access. (such as JDee, snowest, hardcore sledder, slednutz, facebook, ebay, paypal)

start some cardio training a good 40 days before heading up to 10k or so is always a good Idea.

I keep one storage container with everything I might need for the trailer. Extra lights, wiring converters, a jack, a 4-way lug tool, wiring harnesses, crimp connectors and a stripper crimper, wd-40, trailer locks, duct tape, etc. In the summer I use the same box for the boat. I also hang the trailer wiring 4-way flat plug connection from some #12 solid electrical wire, so that it never comes apart and drags on the ground.

I must be doing it all wrong

I start in early October. I Discount Double Check the Insurance, drop the battery in, check for anything loose or broken, top the tank with fresh gas. Point it at the door and wait...........................until sometime in January to ride. (if we're lucky this year)

I make sure I pack enough Sea and Snow motor oil in the trailer before I leave on my trips. I also check to make sure no one steals my monster stickers every morning before I leave the hotel.

Never ride without some type of first aid / survival kit and a tow rope. Expect the best but prepare for the worst.

Remove the locks from your trailer doors during transport, and only put them on during stops. Saves them from getting covered with salt/slush and freezing up.

Extra pair of underwear inside the inner pocket of the bibs!!!!! Common, admit it we've all been there and know what im talking about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously. Hide a extra couple hundred bucks in the inner part of your wallet. So many times the extra offer of a little cash to someone, or simply saying thanks with a nice tip can be the difference between getting some extra help from a good samaritan or not
