I'm looking for new tires for my Dodge 2500. I'm pretty much set on 285/70/17s and am looking for people's thoughts on brands. Whatcha think?

BF Goodrich All Terrains are the way to go. My 2nd choice would pobably be Bridgestone Duelers.

I had Duellers on my old truck and loved them. I'm thinking the Duellers or Firestone Destinations since they were the highest rated on Tirerack.

I have the NITTO Terra Grapplers on my Ford and they have been the best tires! Great in snow, rain and there nice and quiet on the highway. I had the Duellers on the truck before the Nittos and they don't even come close.

I have a set of Terra Grapplers ordered now and am cancelling them tomorrow. Too many complaints online about them not lasting many miles on 3/4 ton trucks.

I'll check into these since everyone is raving about them.

Cooper Discovery ATR's. Getting great mileage out of them. Good in all conditions and quiet on the highway. Have them on all 3 of the pickups in the driveway.

I loved my Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo's that I used to have. I went a little cheaper this time around and got the Firestone Destination A/T's. They have worked out great and I will most likely be buying another set next year again.

I think you answered your question..

Cuz, I think you answered your own question, nonetheless, I would have to agree, both are excellent tires. I have had both, truth be told, the only reason I did the Firestone Destinations were due to unavailability of the Bridgestone Duellers at the time. I found the Firestones to be as good. Rotate every other oil change & you'll get many miles out of either one.-Mezz

General Grabber HTS

Last December I was looking for a similar replacement tire for my '03 Expedition.

I received universal good feedback for the BF Goodrich All Terrains as many have already stated. Unfortunately, they didn't fit in my budget.

I did some research and found the General Grabber HTS got very high ratings as well for quite a bit less money. I ended up going with them.

So far I have about 8k miles on them and have been very pleased. They are very quiet and have performed nicely in snow, rain, dry, as well as dirt roads and slight off road. They have felt very well planted towing several different trailers.

8k isn't a lot of miles, but as of now I would definitely buy them again.

Good luck.

I put the Pirelli Scorpions on my Suburban, even after I was told they were noisy, and have found them to be not noisy, and very good in the winter.

Used the Suburban to pull logs out of the woods this spring in 8"-10" of heavy wet melting snow without issue.

Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo's are probably the best ones out there. I have had the BF Goodrich all-terrains, and they don't last compared to the Revo's! Not even close! They are a good tire though. The Revo's also get around through the snow better. Just make sure the Bridgestone Duelers A/T are the Revo tire, they also make a non Revo tire, and they are not as good!!

Bridgestone Revos hands down. 65,000 at least on a f-150 03. I have an 03 and only have 20k on the Revos and they have been awesome. For an aggresive tread they have been wearing very even and I have not been stuck in a snowmobile staging area. You get what you pay for. Some claim to Toyo's come close but they do wear out faster than the Revo's. They are expensive. You may look at Yokohama Geolanders or the new Terra Grapplers from Kelly Springfield,"the grapplers were amazingly affordable.
