Wow, that looks like fun! Not so many trees to avoid as the UP, eh? How did you get out of there?

I am curious as well.... No Part 2? One of my fears out there, dropping in by myself & not being able to get out & no one around. That, and cresting a climb to find nothing at the top. I did learn something out there, alway's have an exit strategy. Looked like you had a sweet day.-Mezz

A few questions come to mind besides the most popular "how'd you get out?"... When you come to a stop and look back it looks as if there was fresh snow that slid, was that from you? Also, when you dropped in and got to the bottom, you were really on the flapper. Was this instinct or you knew snow was coming down? Just curious. Glad it all worked out and you got out safe!

I'm glad that turned out like it did! Its scary how small of a hill could be your last. Did you know it let loose before you stopped the sled and turned around to look?

I did not see it slide, the first time I saw it was when I turned back to look at where I came from. Not sure if it was the sound of the sled that set it off or what. But, I was a little spooked to say the least. I was worried that the hill right in front of me would slide also, everyone else was on the backside of it climbing and having fun. I thought I turned the cam back on, but I did not. I sidehilled out to my left, then up the next drainage, then worked my way back to where everyone else was.

As fas as where I dropped in at, I could have stopped, but, the drop wasn't anything I was worried about, so I got back on the gas and hopped off. As far as my actions after that, I sidehill a lot better on my left side than the right, so I headed toward the left side of the drainage.

that little ravine you ended up sure looked like it would of been fun to play in. probably a little dicey though.

Yes, it would have been. It only got steeper the further down I went :) but, being that the little slide happened, and I was by myself, in that particular spot, I decided the safe choice was to get out of that area. But, boy did I want to keep going down that drainage. ;)
