Togwotee Lodge 21% Price Increase

I live in Victor, ID so we ride the mountains every weekend. But once a year a group of us do a guys trip over to Togwotee Lodge (about 2 hour drive). We love Togwotee and the Classic Winter Package has always been a great deal. The lodge is just set up perfect for a guys sled weekend (IMO).

I always book early to get the best deal possible. This year I called in early November and was told the Classic Winter Package would not be available for reservations of less than 4 nights until December 1st. I called this morning and was informed that the new pricing has gone up over 21% as compared to the last 2 years!!! In the past we would pay $1,197 for a cabin with double occupancy (about $600 per guy) for 3 nights. This year the exact same itinerary is $1,453 ($725 per guy)!!!

This isn't so much a complaint, but an FYI for others planning a trip to Togwotee.

I noticed this too, we are on the classic winter package for the end of Feb but it may end up being our last trip there. There are just too many options for less money. Looking back I think it was around $30 bucks a day per person more this year.

Yeah, Indy, 4 nights is the magic threshold that a) allowed you to book in November; and b) provided substantial discounts. Glad you were able to get that deal !!

We booked in October for 4 nights. Pricing went up roughly $30ish/night for the Classic Winter Package over last year for the lodge rooms as well.

Paid the same as last couple years. $725 for 5 nights under the classic winter package. That's two guys to a lodge room. I made my reservations on the 29th of November. To me it's worth every penny.

I made my reservations in early November. Didn't really notice a price change over the last few years but we are there for 5 nights. The only change I noticed was they sent an email and wanted more information and requested that I call them. They wanted to know what types of sleds we were riding, Pro RMK 800 155s, what kind of condition we were in ( I said old and fat ) the guy didn't think this was funny. Also wanted to know what our riding style was and what level riders we are couldn't they figure that out from the fact that we own $12,000.00 mountain sleds and live in Minnesota? Then to top it off they couldn't guarantee the guide I wanted? We are going in MARCH!!!!!! The guides are all booked up? Not mad just think it's a little strange. It seems some fancy pants in corporate HQ with no snowmobiling experience came up with the questions.

Maybe I will see you in March. I requested Nate, lefty or Matt. Never sure who I am going to get but if you give 3 names your odds of getting at least one of them is pretty good. Noah is also a good choice. And of course Carter, you will learn a lot from him. You can't go wrong.

Keep in mind March riding is really good at Tog. Temps are more stable, days are lighter longer, more blue skies. I have been going to Togwotee every March for the last 9 years.

4 nights is the magic number. price hasn't changed much if you stay that long. my problem is we only stay 3. my group will work around it, but I have to admit it was a little surprising.

PR1...I did talk to them and tell them we are locals and come every year. trouble is you are talking to an Aramark call center. Tough to get to the lodge for reservations these days like you could in the past. even if you can, the lodge doesn't really make pricing decisions any more.

whatever the cost...togwotee is a great value and an even greater experience. this year just surprised me a little.
