Togwotee out of sleds? Need help

Anyways we had reservations at Togwotee but due to a conflicting work schedule we had to shift our riding dates from Feb 26th-Mar 2 to Feb 28- Mar 4. That was all fine except for the fact the now the lodge is all out of sleds for the last two days of our trip. So bacially we have two guys have no sleds for the last two days of riding, does anyone have any suggestions for sled rentals? The rest of us are taking our sleds out with us so we will have a trailer if necessary.
The same guys that need the sled this year rented from Heart 6 last season due to booking last minute but they were kind of pricey by the time you figured they had to pay for rental, gas, oil, and the Tog guide. Anyways just looking for alternate options in the area? What are the chances the a couple sleds will be freed up at the lodge?

One other thing, looking for someone to recommend a guide for us, we were hoping to get Ryan but apparently he isn't back this year. All backcountry of coarse, have had Bob, Ryan and Noah so far.

Enough rambling for now.
Thanks Jason

Try turpin meadow lodge. 8 miles by trail from togwotee. Probably the closest option.

Thanks guys for the links, what are odds that a couple rentals will open up at Togwotee? I told my friend to get on a waiting list at the lodge and then reserve one elsewhere for a sure thing, just don't know what the cancellation policies typically are.
The prices down in Jackson dont look bad all, just have to go down and pick em up the night before.

Tog told me that once, when I got there they had about 30 sleds to choose from. They still after all these years do not run smoothly out there. Sled shop conflicts all the time. Lodge does not have a clue what the sled shop does so the lodge is no help. If you call Aramark they will screw it up way worse than calling direct. I have had about enough of the way the whole operation operates. That place has so much going for it and management can't get it together. I really feel sorry for the guides because they are at the mercy of it all. When you get there check out all the sleds with 2 foot of snow on them. ????? what is that all about? rent the darn things.

I know what you mean, the lady at the desk was helpfull but didn't know anything about the guides or sleds. She transferred my to the shop to talk with Derrick but of coarse when I get transferred he wasn't working. They take my name and number and say I will get a call back later, yup no call (from the shop).
I have always had a great time riding at Tog., its just that the reservation, check in and check out is always stressfull, you always have that lagging feeling that something is not right.

Agreed, Most times I do come out ahead with them. Especially when I am hitting them with multiple discounts. That's not all bad.

Try Lava Mtn. lodge, great food, nice owners. They have a "Big" house there to rent or rooms. Nothing beats Tog. for riding. Cross the street and you are there.

I was very surprised and impressed yesterday when I got a call from Jack in the rental shop, he was able to get a couple sleds reserved for the two in our group who were without sleds the last two days of our trip. They had to settle for a 600's on one of the days but at least they can upgrade if an 800 comes available.

Crooked Creek is your answer. About 1 hour ride from Togwotee. They have lodging, food and sled rentals and repairs. Line Shack is accross the valley about 1/4 mile. They have lodging, food and sled rentals. They is one other with lodging and food.

This area is right of CD trail so you can also go south into more great riding.

Lava Mountain is between this area and Togwotee and it is easy to get up in the mountains behind Togwotee.

This area is maybe west of Dubois about 10 miles.

Have a great time.

If you are staying at the line shack or crooked creek, look up full throttle powersports. They rent Cats, have good prices and their rentals are located right by line shack and crooked creek.

From what i've seen, turpin meadow ranch has the best prices in the Jackson/Tog area for rental sleds.
