Went out, and packed the 17 corridor from Hwy J to County Hwy S (South of Tomahawk)....the snow was deeper than I thought back in the woods..about 6-8 inches...lots of wet spots in the swampy areas but not bad...I tracked, and packed the swamp by the railrode tracks...cut a path from the highlines and back through the farm field....the swamp just north of the hog house still has a mud hole...stay to the south side of the trail as you pass through that area (use caution)...As you can see...found lots of coontails in the swamps...I'll be cleaning these out for the next month...lol...This is basically a dead end trail until Merrill opens...so you can only go to County J in Irma....We need to get it packed a bit more, and it should be in good shape if the club can get it panned, before we get some cold weather....hopefully we don't get the forecasted rain.
