Coming up Feb 3 and wanted to know how the conditions are. Riding from Tomahawk to Boulder and wanted to know if there is enough snow on the trail. Thanks for any help.

Trails around tomahawk should be pretty good by the weekend...we received just over 4 inches this afternoon...a bit icy on the corners so slow down...not sure about snow to the north...but they were getting some lake effect up around mercer and lac du flambeau sunday...I had the kids running around on grandmas old phazer...the snow was hard and crusty...and the corners were icy...but...the trails weren't all that bad this past weekend...and that was before this snow...been hearing bad reports out of Boulder jct...not sure what's going on there (groomer down?? Dunno?)
But people have been complaining about the lack of grooming...we have group leaving Friday, and are avoiding that area, and heading towards star lake and up to michigan.

Sounds good. We wanted to stay in Tomahawk so we didn't have to drive as far.( Would rather drive my snowmobile the extra 45 mintues). We stayed in Boulder the middle of January and the trail were great then but that was before the big warm up

I just got back tonight, rode Friday-Sunday. I would actually stay farther south and head northeast towards Sugar Camp or straight east towards Crandon and areas north of there. We stayed in Eagle River but had to trailer. Ended up Friday/Saturday starting in Argonne. Rode Sunday back that way a bit then west around Sugar Camp. Heard the St. Germain area was beat and we made a wrong turn and as soon as we got on their club trails, they were all snirt. Based on the dire reports of last week, maybe my standards are too low but overall I rate the trails we were on as very good. They can change every quarter mile but there are many more good spots than bad if you stay out of high traffic areas. Took some pics but right now can't get them to upload and have to head out.

OK, got it to work. This is Friday, club trail from Argonne to Newald. Of course there were areas of snirt and ice in corners but there was a lot of this. Rode it again Saturday, not quite as nice overall but it was Saturday afternoon.

Here's 12E between 3 Lakes and Niles Sunday morning.

The Sugar Camp trails were just as nice as these except one section in a swamp where it looked like the groomer couldn't get through with the warm-up.
