Trails in Tomahawk are in decent shape...fair to good overall with some thin spots here and there...head north and west from tomahawk for the better trails. Even the Hiawatha looked ok today...a little snirty through town (which is usual)
It is gonna be warmer this weekend...but it shouldn't hurt things too bad...we need a bit more snow to make things pristine....but right now it's not bad out there at all

Groomed from Somo area into Tomahawk last night. Had very good snow about half way to town and was able to figure out the new drag a little better.
Temps were ok for the most part. The snow balled up on me one time when I was next to a field that must have gotten a little more sun. Town was thin at best but we can only do what we can do with the snow we have. Just nice to have everything flat before the up and coming snow. Lots of riders out yesterday but they all seemed to peeter out later in the eavening. It's always nice when you don't have to worry about pulling over to let everybody go by all the time. Things sure have changed. Fine by me. Lets just hope they're right about the snow coming and it keeps heading our way!! Ready to put some serious time in the new Pisten Bully!! Come on Snow!!

There was a constant hum of sleds all day today. Upper 40s temps must have made for some comfortable riding. No jacket needed!!
Trails got pretty brown today. Everything's fueled up and ready for Monday. First a quick ride down a state trail ... (snow covered hwy) Then
head out and start packing some trails.

Rode this area yesterday. It was pretty marginal, for sure.
.
We were surprised how poorly marked trail 86 was headed into Taylor County. We had to go around a closed gate, and it was a little challenging finding our way back to the trail.

Not sure where you were, but : Pine Line snowmobile trail in Taylor County is OPEN. ATV’s are not allowed on the Pine Line at this time. Taylor County Snowmobile Trails are open except for Trail E between State Corridor 18 and County Trail M and all trails west of State Hwy 73. Trails are ONLY open to snowmobiles at this time. Conditions are fair, ride with caution. **Check us out on facebook (Taylor County Tourism) **Check us out on the web @ taylorcountytourism.com

Yes...was staying at my bro's place by Perkinstown. We had some decent riding in Taylor County, but Lincoln was pretty marginal. The trail with the closed gate, and unmarked, was 86 in Lincoln County.

Northern Lincoln was great until saturday....got too warm, and too many sleds out...also..a portion of Lincoln County trails are still CLOSED (they haven't opened yet)...Believe or not Tuesday through Friday of last week was REALLY GOOD just about any way you went from Tomahawk...I was surprised how good they were..but warm temps, and lots of sleds can rip it up quick....we'll see what happens if we get this snow (not snowing in minocqua yet, as of 10:30 am)
