The bad news is the trails took a hit over the weekend with warm temps, and very heavy traffic.
They are currently in fair to poor condition...especially the railroad grades.
The good news is we are currently under a winter storm warning, most of the northwoods is in the 6 to 10 inch band, and some areas may see up to 12 inches...lets hope they are right for once..3 to 5 inches would do wonders...but 6 to 12 (after a little grooming) could make them excellent. I will update snow totals tomorrow, when the storm starts...so go do your snow dance, and keep your fingers crossed.
Hopefully they are right this time.

That sounds awesome. but then the temps are supposed to go way up Friday. Probably enough to cancel my first trip of the season. I just can't win with this sport.

We have a place right by Boomba and rode Fri.- everything was great- Oneida, Price, and northern Taylor. Sat. morning started out good till about noon. 39 degrees and lots of sled. Very bad.

I am heading to that area Wed. Sure hope the snow is as predicted. Driving for 7 hours and only chance I will get this year to ride. Saw it was supposed to warm up Friday and then a dusting the rest of the weekend. Thinking Friday will have to be go to breakfast and then park until it cools

Starting to get concerned...it's 10:30..taking care of some business in minocqua...and not a single snow flake has fallen....hmmmmm...hopefully not another bust.

It's snowing hard now...accumulating...looking good...i wouldn't park those sleds yet...only supposed to be 19 tomorrow, and low 20s Wednesday with lows in the single digits....yes it's supposed to be warmer by Friday into the weekend...but do u trust any forecast that's 5 days out??

Intellicast and Weather.com are downgrading it already from this morning. Now saying 1-3" today and 1-3" tonight. I have a cabin for Wed. to Monday reserved. Can't get deposit back. 7 hour drive. Getting depressed. Really thought they had this one right. And 43* and sunny now Friday.

No downgrade that I see so far...5 to 9....still snowing here
